The Monroeville Convention Center will reopen as an additional operations facility for the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank on Monday.

The convention center is a closed facility and will only be used by food bank staff and the Pennsylvania National Guard to pack emergency food boxes. It will not be a direct distribution site.

“We thank Oxford Development Company for donating the facility for use, along with Visit Monroeville and UPMC for financial support,” the food bank said in a post on Facebook.
